1. Introduction

Mithrus AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Family Hub application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your name and email address.

b. Family Information

You may provide family member names, ages, roles, and avatar preferences to use the App’s family management features.

c. Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, chore completions, calendar events, chat messages with our AI assistant, and session activity.

d. AI Interaction Data

When you or your children interact with our AI chat features, we store conversation content, the number of tokens processed, and usage metrics. This data is used to provide and improve the AI experience and to enforce usage limits. AI conversations are processed by our third-party AI provider (Anthropic) in accordance with their privacy practices.

e. Subscription & Payment Data

Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive transaction identifiers and subscription status from Apple to manage your subscription.

3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Family Hub is designed for use by families, including children under 13. We take children’s privacy seriously:

  • Children’s accounts are always created and managed by a parent or guardian (family administrator).
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent through the family administrator’s account.
  • Parents can review and delete their children’s data at any time through the App.
  • Parents can control which AI features are available to each child, set daily usage limits, and restrict chat hours.
  • AI interactions with children are designed with safety guardrails, including age-appropriate content filtering.
  • We do not serve advertising to children or share children’s data with advertisers.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without proper parental consent, please contact us at privacy@mithrus.com and we will promptly delete it.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
  • Process and manage your family’s chores, schedules, and allowances
  • Power AI chat features with personalized, family-aware responses
  • Track AI usage for billing, rate limiting, and parental oversight
  • Manage your subscription and provide customer support
  • Improve the App and develop new features
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Anthropic (AI Provider): Chat messages are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate AI responses. Anthropic processes this data under their privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Azure: The App is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Data is stored in Azure-managed databases and storage services.
  • Apple: For Sign in with Apple authentication and App Store subscription management.
  • Email Services: We use transactional email services to send family invitations and notifications.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), secure password hashing (bcrypt), and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile page in the App. When you delete your account:

  • All your personal information, chat history, and usage data will be permanently deleted
  • If you are a family administrator, your family data will be affected as described in the App
  • Deletion is irreversible and will be completed within 30 days

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
